I came back from school to have a New Year's dinner with the whole family. The problem? A certain sister was out at Mervyns' shopping because of some sale they're having. (They're always having some sort of sale). Go consumerism!
Chinese New Year is one of my favorite holiday not because we get lay see or anything (although that does help) but because it's the only holiday my family actually celebrate together. I mean sure the whole "let's light a giant fire in the middle of the house and burn some paper money" thing spooks me out every single time, but hey that's why I always have a bucket of water nearby (and for some reason my family like to give me that look that says I'm crazy...) This New Year is different though because I don't get the day off from my school unlike my friends in the city. (Stupid private school that lack a significant Asian population.)
Good news today: Hilary won California
Bad news today: Prop 94-96 is winning
