[But he can't help but smile a bit as he enters the first room; this is an easy one for him]
Oh. Yeah, sure. What's up? [Casts a somewhat confused glance her way]

Well... it's- *she paused to let the axe in front of her swing, and sighed. Then moved past it and kept moving*
I've been avoiding you... since I found out that you're. I wanted to say I'm-
*If she paused because she was moving through axes, or because it's hard to say this word, is unclear* Sorry.
Reply
O-oh [he looks surprised; definitely wasn't expecting her to go there just now]
Well, it's...alright [it isn't, really, but it does mean a lot that she's apologizing.] Just wondering...why have you been?
Reply
It's your skin. Well, not really your skin. *Pause, sigh, breath*
I didn't want to make friends with someone and have to hide them...
Reply
So you were...too embarrassed to be my friend?
Reply
*She took a deep breath* My parents don't- didn't know I was a mutant.
*She started into the next room. The door on the other side was closed, and looked heavy. Also the walls were slotted, and every few seconds an arrow (or five) shot from somewhere in the room.*
*She put the conversation out of her mind a moment to try to make a rush for the door, see if she could open it.*

[he follows quickly after her, now wearing a pretty confused look]

However it would be hard to tell them about without mentioning some details. Like the nice shade of blue your hair is. *weak smile*
*Holly J was a bit too distracted by explaining herself. Or avoiding certain aspects of explaining herself. An arrow was heading right for her and she didn't see it.*
Reply
[sheepish smile] Yeah, I guess I see where you're coming from there.
[eyes widened as he sees the arrow] Hey--look out! [no time, he grabs her and teleports them both to the end of the room]
Reply
Huh- *Oh hi teleporting. Weird sensation really.* Thanks. *She definitely doesn't look a bit awkward about the physical contact either... really, okay maybe a little.*
Maybe we should break from this conversation until there aren't anymore arrows flying around?
Reply
[nervous chuckle] I'd say that's probably a good idea.
Reply
Well, since we're already at the door. *Holly J gives the door a once over, before lifting it open.* So... maybe the next room will be quiet and peaceful. Like the room with all the axes. *Not a statement she ever thought she'd make at school.*
Reply
Oh yeah, that was really peaceful. And I'm sure this one's going to be like a walk in the park, right? [he's being sarcastic. In a nervous sort of way.]
[Steps into the room to find...nothing. Color him surprised.] Wow...and I was just kidding, too! Hey, what's that? [notices writing on the wall] It's in German! It says:
The man who invented it doesn't want it.
The man who bought it doesn't need it.
The man who needs it doesn't know it.
What is it?
Reply
It's a riddle. *glances around the room* I never bothered to take time to do riddles, thought they were stupid and useless.
*Holly J sits down. At first she's just staring at the wall with the riddle. Then she looks down, something is bothering her, certainly.*
Reply
[Doesn't fail to notice somethings up with her. He sits down behind her, giving her a worried look] Hey...What's the matter?
Reply
*pause*
...Sorry. It's really nothing. *Yes, that's a lie. Obvious one too.*
