Content: Doug annexes a TV so he can watch the mutant registration debate

Doug had just turned on the TV when the Debate had started. He knew what time it was, he wasn't going to miss this. He hoped it would go well, but he had the suspicion that it was going to go as most such debates went. As a mutant hating fiasco.
Unfortunately as they started arguing it was potentially worse. The arguments for mutant registration weren't unfounded. He of all people was well aware of that fact. And the arguments against it were unfortunately more like cliche's people had been using in the name of freedom for years rather than actual argument. There were good points in there, particularly in regards to voluntary registration, but all and all it felt poorly put together.
Doug sighed, he was against registration for the most part and he was annoyed that people didn't see that mutants were well... people.
