Matthew stared down at his phone, quietly texting back and forth with Al and Lovi while he waited for his papa to show up. He was propped up in bed carefully and his cough was nearly gone now. It was better now at least. He eyed those pills and popped the latest in his collection before he laid his head back against the headboard.
At least he'd gotten to talk about that...thing with Papa. It'd been bothering him since Lovi had brought it up. He shuddered and blinked down at his phone. He flipped it to vibrate and looked over at the neat pile of dishes. He really wished he was well enough to clean and cook. Lovi needed soup, Holly needed comfort food, and he had to make a pizza for Friday. And those dishes needed to be cleaned. He groaned and laid his head back. He hated being sick.
