"Miss Hack, you are aware that if you're caught attempting to leave the premises of the Institute, you will be sent to a correctional facility," said the driver of the black, nondescript government vehicle that was currently pulling into the driveway of the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters.
"Yeah, I heard you the first time, dickhead," Cassie scoffed from the back seat of the car, arms crossed beneath her chest. Looking out the window, Cassie watched as her 'new home' grew as they approached.
"Miss Hack, I would advice you to show a little more respect or things with go very bad for you," the driver said in a clipped tone.
Cassie'd been giving him shit and calling him names since she got in the car two hours before. It's understandable that he would be losing his temper right about nowish. He stopped in front of the main entrance, turning the engine off. He popped the trunk, climbing out of the driver's seat, making his way around to the back of the vehicle. Removing her dufflebag, he dropped it on the walkway leading up to the Institute. Making his way around once more, he unlocked the rear passenger side door, give Cassie a chance to climb out of the car. She walked right past him without another word, stooping to pick up her duffle on her way to the front door.
"Behave, Miss Hack."
"Suck it, slappy," Cassie tossed over her shoulder, along with an extended middle finger. She smirked when she heard the driver cursing to himself as he slammed the rear passenger door closed and make his way around to the driver's side door, and climb back into the car. She stood in front of the door for a moment, staring at it. This was gonna blow. Rolling her eyes, Cassie lifted her hand, knocking on the door twice. She turned, moving to lean against the wall beside the doorframe, staring out at the grounds, watching the black government car disappear around the corner.
