open log: and now for something perfectly ordinary

Location: The laundry room (these open logs are getting more and more creative aren't they)
Time: Evening
Content: Everyone needs to do their laundry sometime. Multiple threads, quicklog, para, anything is fine.
Warnings: None.

With her parents being who they were, she had never actually needed to take care of herself while growing up, but she had never been sheltered. She had made it a point to take her turn at chores and learn to cook and do her own laundry.

The last in particular had served her quite well since her arrival at the Institute. Now she was standing at one of the long tables sorting out the light clothing from the dark. The yellow sweater she had bought while shopping with Milly on her first week here went on top of one, her favourite pair of faded jeans went on the other, and she added detergent and loaded her armfuls of clothes into two of the machines.

Thirty minutes. She glanced reflexively at her watch, then found herself a seat and pulled out her theatre script, kept neatly folded, to go over again.
