A BREAK FROM YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED LIBRARY [OPEN]

Jan 02, 2011 16:57

Characters: Caesar, many unfortunate books, and everyone.
Location: School Library
Time: Early Evening
Content: Caesar got bored; no one is surprised. The book fort, however, is a little weirder than usual...
Format: Prose, action, kittens, whatever.
Warnings: nope.

So, the library now had a little fort made out of books. The "gate" was a table that one of the walls had been built right over and the books have been stacked high enough to hide anyone who might be sitting within on a chair at the aforementioned table. Shelves had been laid bare for this endeavor to forge the patchwork walls, all their bindings turned to face outward. Each section seemed to have it's own theme going: encyclopedias, works of fiction, history...

All because Caesar had a rare moment of not being able to just drop off into sleep. So, it was either find something pointless and mildly interesting to do or actually work on this one project he should have been researching for, but, c'mon, the latter of the two just wasn't going to happen. Thus, a book fort, hidden at the back of the library, hopefully out of immediate sight of the librarian.

"What else could I add?" Caesar looked back at the unused books still on the table, inside the "fort". "...there really aren't enough left to add spires." Oh well. He shrugged and flopped back to sit on the chair he'd kept in there with him. "And still not sleepy. After all that, really?" It looked like fate was conspiring to make him crack a book open and do some of that research after all.

How awful.
