It's barely light out, but clearly that isn't important -- a fire could happen at any time. The headache-inducing siren wails across the grounds inescapably -- this is going to wake you up unless you have mutant sleep powers. We know you will be pleased. At least it isn't as cold as last time, and at least it isn't raining.
Your character probably knows the fire drill procedure, especially if they are a teacher. Feel free to have your them completely disregard it wherever it would be entertaining to do so. The Xavier Institute fire drill procedure is as follows:
- Proceed quietly and calmly to the nearest exit, following the "fire exit" signs.
- Assemble by the statue in the courtyard.
- Do not run.
- Do not push.
- Unless you can fly or have superhuman durability, do not jump out of a window.
- Do not stop to take any belongings with you that you are not already carrying. Do not attempt to move any belongings out of the building using telekinesis until you yourself are safely outside.
