Soul quietly shut the door behind him, glancing around the room. He had been told that he was paired with someone and from looks of it that was correct. Personal

There was a sigh -- perhaps he could go to the library later and possibly pester someone in there into helping him with his work. It would take indefinitely much longer just doing everything by himself... he was rather tired, though. Perhaps a quick nap would help him get ready for the grueling homework session?
Whatever he had planned for the day was instantly forgotten as soon as he'd arrived in his dorm, though -- he wasn't expecting to see anyone inside, much less another teenager apparently miming playing the piano. After a few minutes of watching, he coughed, clearing his throat to try and get his attention. "Hello? Uh, who are you?"

The other teenager looked a little frazzled but he had no real desire to know why. Glancing down at the keyboard he climbed off the bed and turned off the CD player. Lifting the electronic piano he set it against the wall. He still needed to get a hanger before he fell asleep. Removing the second earphone now that he had turned the player off.

Spying the piano on the other boy's bed, he was immediately interested, glancing between Soul and the piano with unabashed curiosity. "You play the piano?" While it seemed like a very obvious question (because it was), it really couldn't be helped that he was curious about his new roomie.

Following Lloyd's gaze to his keyboard he mentally sighed at the question he expected coming. "Sometimes." His answer was short and Soul wasn't eager to get into the subject. Every time it was brought up he remembered Wes, how he played and how much better his brother was.
Bringing his red-eyed gaze to Lloyd's face he asked, "Do you do anything in the arts?"

"Not much when it comes to music like that..." Lloyd responded. "Usually I make stuff like figures and other things from wood or metal if I have time, but lately? Haven't had much of that for myself."

Letting himself fall back onto his bed he looked at Lloyd out of the corner of his eyes. "Really? Do you keep anything you make?" Soul can see the fatigue on his new roomie but let his mind return to the comment that he made earlier. Heh, that may only happen if he thought that he was alone. He played for very few people.

"Sometimes." Lloyd responded. "Other times I give them away as gifts or sell them during the festivals and parties we have back home." Lloyd suddenly sat up as he glance over towards his own closet. "Actually, I think I brought a few of them with me when I came here... wanna see?"

Absently looking at the ceiling again, he paused. "Hey, Soul...? You mind if I ask what home was like?"

"Yeah... it kinda sucks in a way, but then again, I guess that's just how it is." Lloyd sighed, nodding in agreement. He could still recall vividly the warnings that Kratos has told him about using his power in front of people, too -- and he knew all too well just how prejudiced that people were towards mutants in general. "I kinda want that to change. Just... I don't want others to have to grow up surrounded with hate, whether mutant or normal."

Pausing for a moment he sat up once more and looked at Lloyd. "Since we're sharing the room, what's your power?" He asked, bringing his legs up to fold them Indian style.
