Location: Basketball Court
Time: After classes, Friday.
Content: Velma is exploring the school grounds a little.

Velma was not one for sports, or for the outdoors. However, she was doing some studies of how to make solar power more effective. Which did require being outside. She would do her tests near the basketball court. While to any passing observer the reason was testing the effectiveness of solar panels with varying ground types to work with. However secretly she did enjoy the idea of watching males doing some physical activity, she was certain it was just a leftover primal drive for seeking out effective mates. But even with that thought in her head, she did smile when boys were athletic without being un-evolved beings only acting on their simplest of physical motivations to prove their superiority.
In any event she was set-up near the blacktop basketball court, all her devices in place. She figured one last check to make sure they were appropriately wired was in need. So she removed her mittens and tapped each of her test devices. After a moment's touch she worked through the images in her mind of the machine's working mechanical parts. The young scientist was satisfied with what she saw.
However, as she was getting up she slipped, and caught herself on the blacktop with her mittenless hand. This was quite a startling discovery. Normally, a basic structure like a basketball court, would give no reaction. However this was hardly an ordinary basketball court. What she discovered confused her greatly. It had a mechanical system under it. It seemed to be a door, the blacktop opened up for some purpose. She could only guess as to what. However her mind quickly switched from her initial questions as to what was below her, a new more interesting query. What else was hidden here? "...Jinkies."
