Characters: people participating in the Maleficent plot
Location: Xavier's, in various realities
Time: THIS WEEK
Content: Rescue missions, people getting sucked into other dimensions, various horrific chaos.
Format: ANY/ALL
Warnings: horror, violence, horror, chaos, did I mention this is a horror plot

Layer One: At first glance this doesn't seem much different from the normal Xavier reality, except it feels off and is much less populated. However, there are crawling, shadowy creatures willing to attack--Heartless, in their standard form. When defeated they seem to melt back into normal shadows and disappear. To get to the second layer, you must reach the observatory, and fight your way through the veritable horde of Heartless spawning up there.

Layer Two: There are no lights on this level except those you make yourself and a few scattered flashlights in drawers and desks. The heartless here are more obviously sinister, with wide, smiling mouths with too many teeth and hints of bloodstains on their claws. When defeated, their bodies remain, although bloodless. To get to the third layer you must travel out to the hedge maze, which is surrounded by a marshy swamp. There are many soft, mossy rocks to use as a pathway, however. Powers are weakened here; no travel powers work, including super speed, flight, and teleportation. Looks like you're walking. The hedge maze has also grown rather deeper than you might remember, and the plants tend to close in and devour anyone they can get alone.

You probably shouldn't go through alone.

Layer Three: The hedge maze, at least, has disappeared. In fact, so has all plant life--it goes without saying, then, that any nature-related powers, or elemental powers, do not work here. Sorry, anyone who happens to manipulate fire, water, earth, or the like. The marsh is still here, though, and now it's revealed that what you used to get across--those rocks, remember? You were actually crossing on partially submerged dead bodies. And you'll need to cross back the same way.

You don't want to swim it. You won't come back up.

The heartless here are accompanied by the sounds of static, as if their very nature were wrong in such a fundamental way that it makes the world itself try to reject them. They tend to warp in and out of view, often moving very quickly in the interim. When they die, they leave corpses, and they bleed.

Your goal in this layer is a holding cell in the basement. The school itself seems to be rotting to pieces, making all staircases dangerous and the elevators missing entirely--but at least there's a nice, convenient shaft to climb down. The basement is crawling with heartless and corpses--no one you recognize, probably because their faces have been ripped off.

Layer Four: No powers work; hope you brought some weapons. If not, there are a few pipes and the like around, because all that's left of Xavier's is old plumping and chunks of brick and wood. The heartless here appear human, except for entirely black eyes and a tendency to make screeching, inhuman noises and bend backwards in ways that would snap a normal person's neck. They leave their bloodied corpses here as well.

Your goal is the only bit of available light--a shining point in the center of the woods surrounding the campus. The woods are dangerous and filled with traps, from pits filled with spikes to bear traps to malevolent, giggling children always just out of reach sending boulders and trees crashing down toward you.

But surely the friends you want to rescue are waiting at the end of this, right?
