Sophie got up from the desk and stretched her arms above her head. She'd come on her own - it wasn't like New York was very far away - because her parents had been busy working, as usual. Hauling stuff had been a pain but now she was here and could settle in. Her roommate wasn't in but hopefully it wouldn't be too long before they could talk. She really hoped it would be someone she could get along with. That would make things a lot easier.
She plopped herself down on the bed, waiting in silence for Josh to arrive, then decided she might as well flip open a suitcase to make it look like she'd started. Tossing a few pieces of clothing on the bed, Sophie glanced at the walls. Hopefully they were allowed to put posters and things up on the walls. It was very bare and boring at the moment.
