Irene's group thefinalpromise August 3 2010, 00:48:07 UTC
As far as names went, Irene couldn't say that she was familiar with any of the people that had been given to her to look after. That in itself was hardly a bad thing; she could hardly have been expected to keep track of all of the various students of the institute. It also meant that she wouldn't be aware of any troublemakers - should there happen to be any - but that could be dealt with when it came up.

For now, however, there were more pressing matters.

"We're all here, I trust?"

Karrin, however, was familiar with everyone except the teacher. Well, she knew Ulquiorra from various sparring matches and conversations about a certain club and Bumblebee just stuck out to her for some reason, though they had probably not exchanged a conversation before. Otherwise, she knew the teacher's name and that was about it. This wasn't about the group though, this was about the students and staff who were missing.

"I think the groups were kept pretty small, so yeah. Where are we starting our search?"

Bumblebee remembered Ulquiorra from that monster attack a few months ago. The teacher and the other girl he had seen in the hallway before but never spoke to them. But that seemed like It would change since they had to work together.

"What Karrin said." Bee knew they were going to be searching, but he didn't know where they would be searching.

It was hard to forget using a fellow student transforming into a sword and then picking up the transformed student and using him as a weapon against alien beings that looked like a hybrid between crabs and giant fleas.

"Wherever Ms. Adler decides we'll be searching is fine with me," said Ulquiorra with a shrug. He rested his hands in his pockets. The odds of locating a student were slim, but it was possible that they might find something. He knew how to recognize signs of a struggle and was fairly confident Karrin would have some idea of what to look for as well. Bumblebee and Ms. Adler were wildcards in the mix, but at least if there were any threats still on campus, he could always tell Bumblebee to transform again.

Small indeed, but that would make things more convenient. She didn't much care to need to keep an eye on anything overlarge. More so, if they ended up checking some of the lesser traveled areas. It wouldn't really do to have ay further students getting lost.

"The places no one would think to look," she answered.

The less well-traveled places, since anywhere else would presumably already have been checked.

That was rather vague. Still, the teacher had a point, if it was a less visited area of the school there was a higher chance that someone hadn't thought to examine the area yet. Who knew what students got up to at this school. "Lead the way," was all Karrin said, figuring it best to take up the rear of the group. After all, her sense for trouble would be more helpful where they weren't looking.

Bumblebee nodded his head and then tucked his hands into his pockets. He waited for someone to take the lead. “Sounds like a plan to me. I just really hope we manage to find something.”

"Let's try that way," Ulquiorra suggested. He pointed in a direction he hadn't seen anyone else go to search yet. As an added bonus, it wasn't an area of the school most people tended to go, so it met Ms. Adler's vague search parameters well enough.

Karrin had chosen a good place to be. Of course, he didn't know what Ms. Adler's abilities were, so for the time being, he stayed close to the front of the group.

Her abilities were, by and large, unimpressive. Or at least, they would be if they ended up seeing combat. But with any luck they'd manage to escape at least that much. Surely whoever would have come for the students would be gone by now.

But she wasn't going to let her guard down all the same. It would have been folly and she wasn't going to lose anyone else.

"That should do."

Karrin looked in the direction Ulquiorra had pointed and nodded. It was a good enough place to start for her. Following the rest of the group, Karrin went in the direction. She kept an eye out for anything out of the ordinary, recalling when she had done something similar with Derrick only a few days ago. They hadn't found much then either.

Bumblebee followed along with the rest of the group. "Do you guys really think we will find something out here?" He asked, not wanting to just walk in complete silence.

"It's possible that some evidence may have been left behind," said Ulquiorra. He wasn't being optimistic about it, but it was a possibility. If there was any struggle or if someone had simply dropped a personal possession when being abducted, it was evidence. Though none of them were in forensics, Ulquiorra had read about their methods and technology. It had helped him be as competent as he was in his former gang.

"Oh, if we find anything, it'll certainly help. How better to track where they might have gone?"

Getting in contact with them after they'd recovered whatever there was to actually recover would be another matter entirely, but for that... well. She had her ways, and no doubt other people would have similarly.

"It's simply a matter of luck."

"So keep your eyes sharp. It could be something small and insignificant looking," Karrin added to Ulquiorra's assessment. She had a rough idea about what happened in forensics too. After all her dad had been a detective. She'd picked up a few things from him.

She looked at the teacher, "Sure. But by this point couldn't they be anywhere. I mean, for all we know the people who took them could be teleporters." It'd be really difficult to find evidence then. Obviously the students weren't on campus so Karrin had to wonder how far they were going to find them. Oh well, she'd already volunteered.
