Joshua had been trying to find his classrooms, and the next stop was the art room.

Which happened to contain someone he knew.

"Hey there~" Not really caring if Mr. H was busy (though he didn't look it), Joshua walked in and sat on one of the front desks with a wave. "A little late setting up the classroom, I see." His eyes wandered towards the winks with a raised eyebrow.

At the voice, three heads turned, and one jar of whiteboard erasers went flying. Thankfully the Mink who had been carrying it was near enough that with a quick thought from Sanae, the flying jar was safe once more.

Sanae turned and set the box of paint brushes down, "Hold on a sec, Josh." At the same as the two mink noise whirling down to eye the ashen haired student. When he turned back, they pulled back, whirling slowly around him like some sort of strange aura.

The Japanese man rubbed the back of his head looking sheepish, "Hi there, yea it's been pretty hectic around here." Flicking one of the minks irritably when it flew into his face, "How have you been settling in?"

Joshua smiled a little as the minks came over his face, but he directed his attention to the teacher once they left him. "Alright, I suppose. Do you need any help?" He waved a hand in the vague direction of the jars. It wasn't like he had anything better to do at the moment- plus, he was curious about the little creatures.

Sanae glanced at the minks, before he sent them back to their duty of arranging his shelves. They were a couple of his favorite creatures to use for tasks like this--the wolves couldn't reach high enough and the raven's wings gusts would knock things over.

"I suppose I could use another brain on the job." Not hands because he could just make another pair if he needed them...

Sanae settled his expression better into a friendly smile, picking back up the box of paint brushes and offering Josh another box of clay-working tools to sort out. "Just put all the ones that are the same into a can."

Joshua divided up the molding instruments with ease, slipping them into different containers. It was a little annoying, really when he thought about just how little he knew about Mr. H. He owned a cafe, was clearly an artist... but other than that, not much.

Obviously this would have to be fixed. But maybe not today.

"What are those, anyway?" Joshua asked, looking back at the minks.

When Josh was done with a can, one of the minks would swoop down and carry it to its rightful shelf.

Sanae frowned at Josh's questions, eyes flickering to the minks once more. He still found it odd to use his powers so blatantly in front of people, but it didn't always cross his mind because the people here would barely even bat an eye at his strange creatures.

"Ah, I call them minks, but they might be weasels--I never bothered to look up a reference when I made them." He handed off a few more cans to the minks before cutting open another box, this time of small sets of cheap water color paints.

Made them. They did look rather painted. That was interesting.

Joshua didn't ask anymore questions about those, still sorting through things. "I have met up with my new roommate. He seems interesting enough." Though, a lot of people here seemed so. There was quite the variety of students. And probably teachers too, though he hadn't met any others than Mr. H yet.

They were painted and formed right out of the sketchbook on the desk--which was still quite full of boxes as well.

"I think I overheard that on the system--Shuuichi, right?" Sanae dumped the paint sets into a plastic bin, then kicked that under one of the shelves before ripping open another box. "I might know him as well. Came to my cafe once or twice I'm sure."

"Yes, that's him." Somehow he wasn't surprised they'd probably met- Mr. H's cafe only seemed to attract people who were a little different. "There do seem to be quite a variation in powers represented here." Though that wasn't surprising either- two people rarely had the exact same power, or so he'd read.

Mr H was sure there was some cosmic theory for why he kept running into people who had frequented his cafe, but he was an artist, not a rocket scientist, so the theory remained a mystery.

"I've noticed that too. I guess anything is possible here." He chuckled, thinking back through the various people he'd talked to or seen throughout the day. "Just hope no one divides by zero or we might just go up in smoke." The Japanese man smiled, reaching up to idly pet one of the minks before it took off to put the box of extra whiteboard erasers in the closet.

Joshua chuckled a little at that, finishing up with the clay tools. "Need anything else?" he asked, watching as the minks carried them off. They were rather nice in their own way. Though from the look of it they probably couldn't do much without Mr. H.

The minks would be rather useless if Sanae wasn't around, probably would dissolve back into ink and paint if he was far enough away. The one that had been taking the cans from Josh swooped around him looking for another one, and finding nothing, landed on top of his head. It folded its odd tattoo wings back and looked around the room from its new perch.

Sanae shook his head at the noise's antics, offering Josh another box to sort through, this one full of plastic utensils in varying states of brokenness. He set out one of the cans of colored pencils and had the other mink flying back and forth to sharpen them. "What classes have you decided to sign up for? Other than mine of course."

Joshua looked vaguely surprised at the... thing on his head. (His hair was probably fluffy enough to be comfortable for it, though.) "The basics, for one. Math, History, P.E..." There was obvious disdain for that last one. "Control is something everyone has to take at least once, and I believe Combat is mostly required. I think I've been placed in Energy Projection, and I think I signed up for Life Skills." He had no idea what that entailed, exactly, but from what he'd heard about the teacher it would certainly be interesting.

"Sounds like a good course load." It was like some strange twilight zone where classes like 'fireballs 101' were perfectly normal--and in fact Sanae wouldn't be surprised if there was such a class. Didn't change the fact it was still strange though.

The mink took a lock of Josh's pale hair and began nibbling on it. Sanae wondered what that meant about his sanity, if creatures he technically controlled did such odd things at times. "I haven't really gotten to know all the other teachers here, but they seem like a," He paused for just a moment, remembering the staff meeting, "nice bunch." Such a lie. They were insane, but hopefully they would be nice to their students.

Frowning a little, Joshua reached up to see if he could figure out just what it was doing. He got a little distracted, though- there were a fair amount of ghosts at this school, and one of the ones in the classroom had been hanging around at his elbow for the past five minutes. "What?" he finally asked, though it probably looked rather like he was talking to thin air.

Sanae looked up from his sorting, blinking at Josh, then following the boy's gaze into empty space. Okay, strange, but not the strangest thing he'd seen today. The mink on Josh's head continues it's nibbling, the other looking over for a brief moment before returning to the sharpening of pencils.

Perhaps talking to empty space was the kid's power. You never know.

The ghost child jolted backwards at Josh's look, shifting a glance in Mr H's direction, but quickly bowing his head. "You can see me?" The small red-headed boy rubbed his hands together nervously, both strangely decorated it seemed, by intricate tattoos.
