Characters: ANYONE AND EVERYONE EVER
Location: Housing Development project for a rather flattened area in New York state. There were some weird guys in green suits and masks trying to capture Hulk. They failed but caused a lot of property damage which they did not pay for.
Time: Thursday - Most of the Day, students involved got let off their classes for the day.
Content: Community Service Superpowers style
Notes: Party Style, interact with who you want how you want. Everyone can assume Holly J was rude if anyone asked her stupid questions (read: Questions she could easily answer), but otherwise her suggestions for how a person can help using their powers were pretty good. She will probably also give the warning 'do not destroy anything' to people with powers like that.
The gig is house building so have characters employ their abilities as they make sense. I would say 'use your best judgment' but... who does that? I can bust out some Holly J interactions on request but I will be quite slow to respond. If your student-type character has a beef with Holly J expect them not to be there (Sorry-ish Tina, Rin, and Len - But if you want to have them there anyway say they worked it out with staff). Student types who have a history of purposeful property destruction/criminal records/hard to be controlled by staff/have issues not accidentally destroying things probably should shy away from this (players use best judgement).
Staff is there to make sure nothing gets crushed, smashed, blasted, destroyed, or otherwise nicked, cut, or chipped. Also they are there to make sure no anti-mutant protesters cause a commotion/fight/illegal fighting exhibition, make sure some evil organization does not kidnap any students, and whatever else usually goes wrong in Marvel. By all means get involved with helping if the staff in question would get hands on.
This is a low key event, not televised by news, and nothing evil attacks the students. By the end of the day they should have rebuilt more houses than they have damaged with tomfoolery. The prompt is Holly J free to make it easier for all you little kids.
Bonus note! If you want to handwave being there just leave a note on this
ooc entry (hiatus, busy, failnet, whatevs).
With the rainfall ended the day finally came to work on Holly J's little pro-school spirit and pro-mutant PR project. Civilians in the area of this little suburb watched from a generously safe distance. A sometimes hero-sometimes monster caused quite the commotion here as he fought a small army of oddly dressed men in green masks. Whatever the intent, whoever started it, why it happened, none of that mattered. What mattered was that families were homeless since August and the houses would not rebuild themselves.
So with this tragedy some students forged opportunity, offering to aid in repairs. With funding from a few sources for supplies, the manpower was made up of teenagers. Normally looked at in varying lights, this was shown in the mix of emotions from the locals watching. Some smiled, some sneered, some stared in a daze at the less human looking students. However everyone was reminded the primary goal was to just get as much done today as they could without getting themselves hurt... or blowing anything up.
