Scenario 1-Danger Room (4 Characters in danger room, 3 outside it) mooksrus May 9 2010, 23:36:23 UTC
It turns out that whoever is behind this attack, they were able to design a virus that hacked into the Danger Room computer and sealed the room, switched off the safety protocols, and uploaded a battle scenario that will take those inside to a rocky barren world where they will be assaulted by wave after wave of strange alien creatures known as the Brood. While they may hold out for a time, eventually everyone in their will be overwhelmed unless a team on the outside can hack into the computers and delete the virus.

For the moment, Tommy had figured he could use the down time to train a bit, get himself back into a bit better shape than now. For the moment, things seemed easier with his opponents being normal run-in-the-mill mooks (he'd go for those he recognized, but not with the others inside he wasn't).

Of course, that all changed when the run-in-the-mills became the aforementioned creatures.

"WOAH!" Tommy yelped, doing a series of backflips to evade one of their stingers. "...this wasn't part of the training. What's going on?"

A nightly danger room run was nothing new for Toph. The program set-up was pretty basic and really it should have only worked up a little sweat. Unfortunately, tonight was going to get a little rough.

Toph felt the change happen and while she couldn't see it, she knew that even the landscape had changed, along with the enemies. She didn't waste another second and slammed her rock covered fist (it helped to have earth she could move on her person at all times) into one of the creatures. "Beats me. Best guess is someone or something got into the system and we've got a bug." Striking the creature revealed that it's shape was large and that it was very bug like as well. Toph snorted, "No pun intended."

Lisa Lisa was at something of a disadvantage in this desert environ. Normally, she could depend on the environment to provide a variety of improvised weapons for her, but there was little around her but rocks and sand.

Not that she was letting that stop her. She spun about and slammed her foot into a broodling, slamming it down into the sand. Its exoskeleton blistered and cracked around the point of impact as she released a strong dose of Ripple energy into it. "I should hope not," she commented. "We have enough things trying to kill us without puns of that calibre."

"Figures," she grunts as she pushes back another bug monster with her rocks. She's trying to keep up a perimeter with several rock walls but there's only so much she can do with virtual rock. It's never been easy for her to move the virtual stuff since, well, it's not exactly the same. It was the reason she came in with rocks on her arms, metal on her outfit, and sand in containers by her waist.

"We'll be FINE as soon as you stop talking and get to work RESTORING the damn protocols," Toph shouted, her guard down for a split second as a Brood pounced on her. "OOF! GET OFF!" She slammed her fists out and the rocks nailed the thing in the gut...er...thorax.

You expected flowers and kittens? We're under attack-- damn it --

[ Thump, then quiet for a second -- ]

And they're still sweeping the place. I'm working on it, ok! Stark is responsible for half this stuff so it isn't exactly simple.
