[now that all the kids have settled in, Roy slaps his hands down on his thighs]

All right, guys. Welcome to group. I know a lot of you don't wanna be here, and that's okay. You don't really wanna talk to me. You're thinking he wasn't there, he doesn't know what we been through,, and you're right, I don't. That's why we're doing this instead've meeting with me one-on-one. You guys are gonna help each other, I'm just here to make sure you do it right. There are a few ground rules, here. No blaming anyone for anything that happened, even if you're sure it was their fault. No making anyone else feel bad about themselves or something they did. No insults, no talking when somebody else is talking, no distracting behavior like eating or checking your text messages. We're all going to go around saying how we're feeling, one thing about the whole experience that bothered us, why it bothered us, and what we think we can do to feel better. Once you said that, everybody else gets to go around and give feedback. You can say how whatever it was ( ... )

[Paulie just blinks. He hasn't really talked at all, unless alcohol was involved. There was Pepper and Maxxie, but that was merely because they noticed him. Other than that, Bleeker had decided he didn't want to talk. About anything.]

[Iggy doesn't bother to raise a hand]

What if we don't have anything to say when it gets to our turn?

[arches an eyebrow]

You're not feeling anything, and you got no thoughts on the matter?

[to the group]

Listen, nothing we say here leaves this circle. Everybody here got the same problems. You don't need to be ashamed or embarrassed saying anything. I don't expect you guys to be real comfortable with this our first time here, but nobody's gonna think of you any less if you tell us what's wrong. And hey, maybe you're not hurting too bad, that's fine. Say it. But there's no reason to lie about how you're doing. Not here.

If there's one thing I've learned about lying, it's that people don't need a reason to do it.

[That was all Duo had to say on the matter, after that he just stretched out in his chair again content to watch people make fools of themselves or not at their leisure.]

[She didn't really want to talk about this. Not around everyone else... She tucked her ankles under her chair and wrung her shirt's hem in her hands.

She'd just wait for her turn and try to talk...]

[Miles doesn't particularly care to say anything on this, either. He just sits there, arms folded across his chest.

Actually, thinking about what happened makes him anxious, and when he gets anxious... Right now he's focusing like never before to make sure he doesn't lose control and cause a situation with his power, because he's pretty sure no one here would appreciate that.]

[He doesn't think this is going to help him at all. And he doesn't feel comfortable discussing his thoughts and feelings with a room full of strangers.]

[He's not sure what he'll say when his turn comes, so for now he just stares at an opposing wall.]

All right.

[nods to the person to the right of him]

You start.

[He's just going to cross his arms and not talk about this. Because well, even if he is the one next to Roy, he isn't talking. He just bites his lip and looks at the next person.]

[Liz is growing more irritable by the second. Not only is she the lucky gal next to Roy, she now has all eyes on her. As loud as she was, she kinda hates being the center of attention.]

[She glares at no one in particular before speaking.] I feel annoyed about being here. And that's pretty much it...

[gives Paulie a Significant Look]

Paulie, if you're not gonna talk, you and I are gonna have to meet up separately.

[to Liz]

One thing that bothered you about the experience, why it bothered you, and what you can do to cope.

[She sighs. Playing along with this seems to be the quickest way out of here.]

Being kidnapped wasn't fun, and getting beaten up and experimented on might have something to do with that. Also I'm coping just fine without all this touchy-feely session.

[Toris is sitting quietly, having positioned himself next to Iggy. He has his backpack in front of him. It's open enough for him to read, and he's doing so discreetly. He is very good at being discreet.]

How are you coping, Liz. Please give us a couple examples. And yeah, we all know being kidnapped and abused and experimented on sucks, but if you could say why, specifically--was it strictly a physical thing, or did the confinement bother you, too? Was your trust violated, being kidnapped?

[casts a sidelong glance at Toris, you might've fooled an ordinary therapist but you ain't gonna fool a trained sniper]

And Toris, I don't know what you're doing over there, but if you could pay attention, that would be great.

Mr. Harper, you pretty much answered your own questions. But I'll humor you.

My trust wasn't really violated because I didn't really have much faith in this supposed 'safe-haven' in the first place. [Liz's glare becomes more prominent and is now directed towards Roy.]

We were abducted under the teachers' watch. Under your watch. And don't go on about that bullshit that even teachers can't do the impossible of protecting everyone, even though it's their job to. Yeah, I understand that students that were taken while off-campus couldn't be helped, but what about those who were here? You let them be taken right under you goddamn noses.
