[stows the book in her desk] Hey, come on in.

[hugling]

Hey, Ms Jones. [smiles! amiably!] How was break?

Oh. You know. [waves hand vaguely. she looks kind of tired. AND THEN SUBJECT CHANGE!!] How was yours? Hey, have a seat.

[hugling]

[oh. well, then. not that he's going to ask; he just nods and watches her in a kinda-concerned-but-minding-his-own-business sort of way as he sits down]

... It was okay. [pause] ... I ... met some relatives who I'd never met before and it was ... kinda awkward. I dunno. [:/]

[scrunches her brow a little] Yeah? Why, what happened? [yay something else to focus on besides the TWELVE STEP PROGRAM thank god]

[hugling]

... I dunno if I'm supposed to ... [sighs] This is kind of ... can you promise not to tell anyone?

Yeah, I just ... It's kind of a long story. [he gives her an apologetic half-smile and pauses in a ... quietly working out what he's going to say sort of way] ... But it turns out I'm not - human. Or from this planet.

[shakes his head - at her apology, rather than the question] No, it's cool. That was ... pretty much how I reacted too. [little smile, although it doesn't last very long or anything.]
