Breaking of the Storm (Active, Semi-Open)

Location: A motel in Midwestern America, then Juarez in Mexico
Time: During the Great Zombie Adventure
Content: This Spring, Leon will lead a small team of fighters to keep the Darkness from getting its first Beach Head on Earth. It's the conflict you've all been waiting for, the war for this reality is about to begin!

Notes: Okay, so how this will work is there will be two main sections, one set in a Motel halfway in the trip, and the other when they arrive in Juarez and are immediately set upon by the Darkness. Feel free to start separate sub threads within these two main threads.
There was a stillness in the air of the tiny blue world that glistened like a jewel in the black. It was as if for an instant every living thing on that tiny orb was holding its breath, and waiting for the storm that was about to break.
For untold billions of years this universe had been on its own, untouched save for the occasional incursion, and left to decide its own destiny. Now, a great power had turned its attention to this vibrant reality, and to this tiny planet within it. Here was where the first blow would land, where the battle for existence would begin. This force, it's malevolence only equaled by its power, would now bring all its might to bear on the planet Earth, and seek to expunge all light in the reality under a tide of darkness as it had done to countless universes before.
Truly, the scope of the force before the Earth was unimaginable, and that was why life itself drew in one last breath, knowing that after this moment nothing would ever be the same again.
The peaceful second passed, the clock rung, and with a single scream, the war began.
