Velma and Temari jinkiesgang April 10 2010, 17:34:29 UTC
Velma had managed to return to school, and to her dorm, with enough time to at least clean up and change before classes. She didn't do much to hide her return this morning from the school's security set-up. Opting for speed over stealth. Trying to map a path into the school without getting caught was near impossible. There were two telepaths, and who knows how many ex military on base that would be able to catch her ( ... )

Stepping out of their shared bathroom, Temari gave a once over to her roommate. Walking over to her bed she stared at Velma. "Where were you last night?" Not that she really cared, but Velma had never stayed out all night like that before. If she had then it was probably on days Temari fell asleep first.

Her eyes also couldn't help but notice the hickey Velma was sporting. "And what happened to your neck?"

"I went to a party," Velma did her best to play this as cool as she could, which so long as she didn't think too much on what happened. Giving herself any vivid mental imagery to react to, "It got cold and I felt it was safer to ride home in the morning instead of last night." She closed the door, dropped her bag in the corner and plugged her necklace to recharge. Then off came her jacket and sweatshirt. Which lead to a view Velma's shirt, and its missing three buttons, more signs to what Velma was trying not to talk about.

Then came the question about her neck, "There was a young man at the party..." she blushed trying to play this as discretely as possible, "He and I-" There was absolutely no way Velma could think to word this safely, so she decided to shift the subject rather drastically to something far more utilitarian, "Have you used the shower already? I could use one before classes."

Raising an eyebrow at the explanation Velma gave her, she couldn't help but think something was off about it. The only thing...she knew exactly what was off about it. It would have been pathetic for her not to notice it, all things considered. "Uh huh. So...What's his name."

Rolling onto her back, she stretched out to stare at the ceiling. It had bee far too long since she just got to relax like this. Rolling her head off the side of the bed, she watched Velma from an upside down view. "I'm sure you could." There was a knowing tone in her voice, an idiot could tell what Velma did last night. "Is he a student~"

"Thomas," Velma answered, "he works at the local hair salon." Which successfully eliminated both questions. She was in the bathroom, in view of Temari's bed but only so long as she kept the door open, which she didn't seem to mind leaving open right now. Looking at herself in the mirror. All of this was too unreal for her, too... not her. However, she did do it, so this must be a part of her. She also this morning got a pretty strong understanding of Thomas's powers, so he was not manipulating her in any way. "It was his apartment the party happened in. It was..."

Velma just stopped there and looked at herself, finally taking the time to really examine the mark on her neck. As well as remember a bit more about the night as she stared at her own reflection. Remembering where his fingers and his lips moved to, what she felt. Vivid in her mind, a flood of emotions confusing her, what she had been taught to feel on the subject and what she did feel clashing in her mind. "Temari... why do you think he wanted to... with me?"

Hmm...Was she doubting herself after all that. Frowning at her roommate, Temari rolled over onto her stomach. "Did you really just ask that?" Fixing her with a stern look, she brushed her hair to the side, showing the result of her own sordid affair. "You should ask him yourself. We all have our reasons." Turning her hear slightly, Temari stared out of their window. "Personally though...I think he might have liked you. If he didn't, I'm sure there were other options."

Sighing softly, she lightened her stare. "If it really bothers you though...I'm sure he'd answer you honestly. He doesn't come to the school so he'd have nothing to gain by lying to you."

"These confusions aren't the sort of thing I should be thinking about after... the first time doing," Velma you are a big girl. You are allowed to say exactly what you did, "that?" ...Or you can be too embarrassed to say it. She wasn't sure what the proper reaction to this sort of thing was. She was all questions and no answers, which was not a thing she ever was and she did not like it.

Asking Thomas did seem like a good answer, her hand idly played with her hair. The hair that was ever-so-shorter after her first meeting with him. He would be the best source of an answer... except he might lie, why was she thinking he might lie? Why did her brain come up with that little theory now instead of, oh, last night? Other than Temari bringing it up. And other than she was feeling hurt and alone and so many other things, then feeling too many things at once for her body to properly categorize them beyond just 'good'. However a word, nay, an aspect of a word Temari said stuck out in her mind ( ... )

"Oh yes~" Temari's voice was more a purr than anything else by that point. "Pleasure. Revenge. Just bored and want something to do. There are so many reasons." She may have just been a little mean...maybe she should change up her tactic a bit. The poor thing looked so confused...could she have been...no.

"Were you a virgin?" It seemed odd to her that someone Velmas age was still a virgin. Still, It was possible.

That... didn't make her feel better at all! While the first one made sense, the second and third did not. Weren't there other ways to occupy your time, even if it was- Velma's blush returned as she thought about exactly how pleasure applied to this. "R-really?" When she considered it, her own reasons were not nearly as pure as she might have considered? Was she doing it for revenge? She didn't want to be the sort of girl that did that, she just didn't want to be... whatever Tina said she was. That was different, right?

Then came a question she didn't exactly want to answer, "If you are asking if I had an intact hymen, no." She might not have been the most athletic, but she was athletic enough. "If you are asking about if I had," she paused again as the words caught in her throat, "sexual intercourse before..." she trailed off which really was as much answer as needed. "I-I know that the national averages say this is unusual. However it isn't that much of an outlier." Really strong argument Velma, really strong.

Sitting up against her headboard, Temari stared steadily at Velma. She wasn't exactly the best at comforting in these situations. "Look. I'm sure it wasn't...whatever it is your worrying about." Stretching her legs out, Temari rolled her neck back to stretch out. "In any case. It's not really that big of a deal. It's only as big a deal as you make it."

Sending an uncharacteristic soft look towards Velma, she let out a soft sigh. "Well, you've done it now. There's really nothing to do but accept it...and if it really bothers you, you should ask him. I'm sure he wouldn't lie to you." If he did then he wouldn't be worth pursuing anyway...and surely someone that looked like Thomas had other people he could go to for a one night stand. Why try so hard and risk something by going for Velma unless there were some feelings involved.

Velma had always had some big romantic idea about this, an uncharacteristically emotional view really. Perhaps it was reality uprooting that believe that had her so confused. While certain steps were taken to prevent their activities from being productive in the usual manner. "But... all those warning videos shown at school, and the assemblies on the subject." School did make sex and sexual activities dangers abundantly clear.

She had 'done it'... other than the confusion, she didn't feel all that different, "and the subject isn't... too weird, to bring up?" It did make sense to talk to him about it. Although she wasn't exactly in familiar territory when it came to what was a usual way to handle these feelings. Given she wasn't used to such feelings in the first place.
