[Bee's entry had reminded J - the holidays were coming up fast, and he had a few things to take care of. One long phone conversation with his parents later, he was heading down the hall of the boys' dorm, listening for a particular tune and wondering if this was the right thing to do. He knew Spin hadn't gone anywhere for Thanksgiving, and he'd never mentioned going back to his family at all. On the other hand, if Spin had been planning on going home, an invitation would put him under a lot of pressure J didn't want on him. In the end, though, asking and being turned down was better than not asking and leaving the kid alone over Christmas.
