Stopping at the counter, she tugs some money from her pocket and glances up at the menu before deciding on what to get. "Hey... Any fights with the whipped cream lately?"

He grinned at Juliet, noticing the way she held her textbook close. "All work again, Juliet? You know what they say about all work and no play."

She glanced down at her book and shrugged. "I love history, so can it count as being something fun? Besides... Coming to visit you is something I would consider 'play'."

She set her book on the counter and placed her hands on it. "Not too bad. Busy, but that's school for you..." she trailed off before flashing him another smile.

"Still, I'm glad you came by. It's awfully lonely not to have anyone to talk to." He jerked a thumb at the menu. "Can I get you anything?"

She glanced back in time to grab her change and the package he handed over with it. She looked down at it, then back up at him and grinned. "Of course that's enough, silly. Besides... I get to say that I'm a favorite."

She took another sip of tea and smiled. "Maybe it'll be easier after Winter break...."

The thought of another student going to the counselors made Thomas twitch inwardly. "Maybe so," he agreed, neither agreeing nor disagreeing with the comment about counselors. After all, there were more than two according to Roderich, and it was perfectly likely that Juliet would go to a counselor who wasn't pure evil. "Must be hard to make friends when everyone's scrambling to get ready for Christmas. Are you headed home over break?"
