[Irritated by the lack of action and frustrated by the lack of communication from well, anyone, Bucky finally makes it down to the lower levels of the school. In the absence of direct orders from Cap, Fury, or anyone else with clout, he'd taken it upon himself to comb through the school for any Brotherhood stragglers.

It takes him less than a second to realize he's not alone down here. The .45 he'd been carrying near his hip swings up by reflex. It's a kid, Bucky can tell, but then a lot of them had decided to join up with the Brotherhood. He wasn't about to drop his guard that easy.]

You a friendly?

[Alfred realizes he's got a gun pointed at him, and that doesn't do much to keep him from shaking as his mind warps the electricity-induced explosion from before into a gunshot wound. He recognizes the voice, but doesn't have it in him to start any sort of argument like he did over the network.]

Only if you're with the Institute.

[His voice lacks its usual force and enthusiasm.]

[Bucky lowers his gun. Violence, school break-ins, explosions, stands to reason all that would lead to traumatized kids.]

That makes two of us. Were you down here the whole time?

[Alfred shakes his head, and tried to restore his voice to normal.]

I was at the conference before.

Got back here quick.

[He frowns, trying to figure just what Al is doing down here then.]

You always come down here to get your head together?

[Alfred shrugs. No, he doesn't usually come down here--usually he goes to the roof--but it's too easy for people to find him up there.]

What about you?

Got bored waiting around to hear from people, so I went looking.

[He sighs, relaxing further. Bucky hadn't actually realized how tense he'd gotten.]

This was my last stop. Practically everyone's cleared out.
