Ever since he came to the United States, he had been making himself get used to all the different sorts of meals that the country had to offer. Not like he hadn't had some foreign food while he was at home, but he didn't go for them all too often. But when he got to San Francisco, he at least ventured out on his own and opened himself up to Italian food and all their different types of noodles. Bucatini, Fusilli Bucati, Farfalle, Fettuccine, Lasagne, Linguine, Rigatoni, Ravioli, Rotini, Tortellini, Tortiglioni, and on and on and on. They were the closest to what he knew, and they were great of course, along with other American staples such as hot dogs, hamburgers, pepperoni pizzas, those taco things that they kept selling at this one Taco Bell place. Those were weird. That, plus several other sorts of foods that he had learned to eat even during his stay at the institute.

While he liked exploring new dishes, and while the foreign foods he'd tasted were nice and everything, but he still missed eating those nice, traditional dishes that he knew and loved. So today, he decided that he would be doing some good old fashioned shrimp curry.

He had already had the rice cooker cooking a big batch of white rice, and the shrimp curry in the large wok was giving off divine smells. The four-or-so pounds of shrimp went well with the snow peas, carrots, and red bell peppers that he used for this dish, though the curry was definitely adding to that savory aroma that had his mouth watering.

"Aaaaah, such good food~! It's been ages since I've had anything this good! This just needs the last couple of ingredients..."
