Doug had called Alfred on his phone. He needed to talk to someone right now. Someone who made him feel safe. It was perhaps ironic that it was Alfred given what happened. But after the monsters, and the pillow forts and all the stuff about Al being Al? He did feel safe around him.
So as he waited for the other guy, wearing his winter clothes of course, he thought about what to say. He didn't want to agitate him after all... Just talk.
