Lelouch was arriving at his sister's room for to help her a bit earlier than he tended to. Once again, Matt's obnoxious brother had taken over, and he was tired of listening to them. No matter what Elaine had said, he was still going to do this, with the absence of Sayoko.

He let himself in, and just as he opened his mouth to greet her, he stopped short. Why was she packing? "Nunnally? What are you doing?" His tone was even, not showing the shock at the action. Maybe she had finally been moved to a room they could share, and she was saving it for a surprise for him. That was a reasonable explanation.

She'd been so distracted by her rush and worry that she didn't notice Lelouch's arrival until he spoke. She jumped in her chair, letting out a small shriek, and dropped the skirt she'd just picked up. She leaned forward to paw for it, though she couldn't reach the floor.

"Lelouch--" No. He couldn't find out. If he did -- if he knew -- "You... you're early..."

He crouched to pick it up for her and he folded it neatly before handing it back to her. "Yes, Matthew's brother and his friends were in our room. Why are you packing?" He stepped over to the suitcase and started arranging the items in it a bit more meticulously, and removed what of Elaine's that had made it in there.

Nunnally held the skirt for a moment before setting it into the suitcase. She couldn't answer. She remained silent for a long moment, just sitting there, mind racing, trying to figure out how to respond.

"I... I'm leaving the institute," she finally said, explaining nothing.
