Having hitched the covered carrier, essentially a small trailer, he used to run errands into town on the back of his motorcycle, Norman drove the vehicle carefully in front of the main entrance to the mansion and turned off the engine. Despite the recent excitement in New York, life went on in the mansion, and that meant its students still needed clean clothes, hot food, and to communicate with those who were not here, and as long as Norman remained in his post he would see they were provided with all three.

Luckily this time two kind students had volunteered to help the butler make his rounds and spare the old man’s back the extra strain. Two helmets rested in the side car of the motorcycle, along with thick leather jackets to provide extra padding. Not that the bike’s security systems would even make such precautions necessary, but Norman felt that one could never have too many opportunities to encourage good habits. His own helmet and goggles were perched on his head, showing that Xavier’s butler was fully ready to practice what he preached.
