[Oh also there's a bird sitting RIGHT in front of you on a nasty, twisted branch. It's larger than one would like birds to be, and has a somewhat unearthly look in its big blank bird eyes. It is ragged and oily and something is slipping down its neck wetly.]
Reply
Oh my god that bird is so messed up!

Mm. I've seen worst. [And she has. SplatterCon was quite good at the 'ohmygodwhatisthis, aaaaaaaa']

[After a moment a smaller bird appears on its other side, and opens its beak at the larger bird -- sort of as though it is panting. A dribble of dark liquid plips onto the branch from its mouth and as it turns towards the girls something glints in its throat...]
[Humanvoicenoises happening all around them now, sounding more and more urgent.]
Reply
Oh, oh, those sound like students! Are they stuck in here? Shouldn't we find them?
[Man, Tina feels all kinds of exposed being such a glowing person in a dark nasty wood.]
Reply
First rule of horror; the voices you hear are usually the bad guy. [She glances around, frowning slightly before going down the path that the voices aren't as loud. Just to see what happens]
Reply
[The voices can now pretty obviously be heard to be coming from inside the birds' mouths, which are variously closed and muffled or hanging open and beginning to stretch, widely.]
[One sitting very near Molly's head appears to vomit something out, and as the slime drags down off of whatever it is onto her, they can see that it's a face which is somehow being projected out of the bird's throat, slowly.
It is babbling and apparently in extreme pain.]

Oh my God! They've eaten the students! [Tina wails as she realises what's coming out of the birds, clinging to Molly and practically climbing on to her in fear.]
Reply
I don't think they have. It might just be awesome sound effects. [Keeping technical might be a good thing. Tina, Molly's not gonna be able to support both of their weights if this fun-time adventure takes another turn for the weird. After all they are trapped at the moment]
Reply
[The skin where the liquid dripped on Molly is bubbling and twisting.]
Reply
We should leave! This is horrid!

I would agree with that if we had a way out. [She eyes their enclosed area, biting her lip slightly. Too bad her powers aren't destructive that way] You wouldn't happen to be able try and do something about that, would you? [nods towards the trees before returning to trying to get the slime off]
Reply
[Yeah the door is goooone and the branches which look too much like limbs for comfort are effectively blocking their way.]
[A few more of the birds begin to stretch impossibly, and several do actually turn entirely inside out with awful wet cracking noises, revealing basically large lumps of unidentifiable pinkish organ-y flesh with a small pale human face nestled directly in the middle of it.]
[The faces are smiling.]

[Tina finally snaps and tries to fly up, up and away. Unfortunately for her she gets caught in the gross slimy tree-branches and oh god it's in her hair aaaah.]
[There are birds all around her and she is flailing like mad in the tree tops amidst the tree limbs, screaming blue murder the entire time.]
[If this was what Molly had in mind when she said 'doing something about that' then good job Tina.]

And yeah, that's pretty much what she meant. Nice to know we can cross that off the list]
