[..eeeyes the Danger Room. She's seen one too many horror movies to be too frightened by it. And after all that excitement during the trip, there can't be possibly anything that'll scare her. ...right? Rolling her eyes at herself, she enters before she stands out there lost in thought all day]

[The human-sounding voices rise and fall in volume slightly frantically, one of them trailing off into an unpleasant gurgle.]

[Oh also there's a bird sitting RIGHT in front of you on a nasty, twisted branch. It's larger than one would like birds to be, and has a somewhat unearthly look in its big blank bird eyes. It is ragged and oily and something is slipping down its neck wetly.]

[Tina sneaks into the room shortly after Molly and is now peering over her shoulder at the illusion.]

Oh my god that bird is so messed up!

[Molly raises a slight eyebrow at Tina, before returning to eying the bird. It is rather gross]

Mm. I've seen worst. [And she has. SplatterCon was quite good at the 'ohmygodwhatisthis, aaaaaaaa']

[The bird just... sits there, as though it is sort of looking past them into something else]

[After a moment a smaller bird appears on its other side, and opens its beak at the larger bird -- sort of as though it is panting. A dribble of dark liquid plips onto the branch from its mouth and as it turns towards the girls something glints in its throat...]

[Humanvoicenoises happening all around them now, sounding more and more urgent.]

[omg these birds are so creepy. Tina stares at them with the most comically horrified look on her face and hides a bit more behind Molly. She tears her gaze away from the glinty-bird-throat to glance around at their surroundings. Tina grabs Molly's arm urgently as she realises that those voices are human-sounding...]

Oh, oh, those sound like students! Are they stuck in here? Shouldn't we find them?

[Man, Tina feels all kinds of exposed being such a glowing person in a dark nasty wood.]

[Slightly amused that she's now playing shield, before turning back to the creepy oily bird and listening closely to the voice things]

First rule of horror; the voices you hear are usually the bad guy. [She glances around, frowning slightly before going down the path that the voices aren't as loud. Just to see what happens]

[Whichever way they turn, there's now birds sitting heavily on every twisted branch, and the branches seem to have somehow grown to block their way in every direction. The floor is also pulsating slightly.]

[The voices can now pretty obviously be heard to be coming from inside the birds' mouths, which are variously closed and muffled or hanging open and beginning to stretch, widely.]

[One sitting very near Molly's head appears to vomit something out, and as the slime drags down off of whatever it is onto her, they can see that it's a face which is somehow being projected out of the bird's throat, slowly.

It is babbling and apparently in extreme pain.]

[Tina sadly doesn't get the joy of feeling the floor pulsate under her feet due to her hovering. It's not like she needed that extra terror, anyway. Her face crumbles through varying stages of horror and revulsion as the slime drips on to Molly.]

Oh my God! They've eaten the students! [Tina wails as she realises what's coming out of the birds, clinging to Molly and practically climbing on to her in fear.]

[Molly will silently keep how much she's impressed by this to herself, seeing how Tina seems to be freaking out. Everything sort've grind to a halt when she is thus slimed, and she glares at the birds, not at all ruffled by the creepy face thing they seem to be doing]

I don't think they have. It might just be awesome sound effects. [Keeping technical might be a good thing. Tina, Molly's not gonna be able to support both of their weights if this fun-time adventure takes another turn for the weird. After all they are trapped at the moment]

[More birds are beginning to do the same thing around them, their beaks stretching impossibly wide to reveal the faces trapped in their throats. The one nearest them is progressing most rapidly, its eyes bugging almost entirely out of its head as it begins to actually turn inside out, making horrible little struggling-to-breathe sounds as it does.]

[The skin where the liquid dripped on Molly is bubbling and twisting.]

[Tina buries her face in Molly's shoulder so she doesn't have to look at all this nastyness anymore.]

We should leave! This is horrid!

[Oh ew, ew, eeew. The inside out thing. Molly makes a face before she notices the bubbling on her skin and makes a muffled disgusted sound at it. Taking a minute to pat Tina with her unslimed hand, she starts to attempt to pick at the slime to get it off. Also, she keeps her voice very mild before answering Tina]

I would agree with that if we had a way out. [She eyes their enclosed area, biting her lip slightly. Too bad her powers aren't destructive that way] You wouldn't happen to be able try and do something about that, would you? [nods towards the trees before returning to trying to get the slime off]

[The skin bubbles less with the slime picked mostly off, but still sort of congeals and twists gently]

[Yeah the door is goooone and the branches which look too much like limbs for comfort are effectively blocking their way.]

[A few more of the birds begin to stretch impossibly, and several do actually turn entirely inside out with awful wet cracking noises, revealing basically large lumps of unidentifiable pinkish organ-y flesh with a small pale human face nestled directly in the middle of it.]

[The faces are smiling.]

[OH FUCK THIS]

[Tina finally snaps and tries to fly up, up and away. Unfortunately for her she gets caught in the gross slimy tree-branches and oh god it's in her hair aaaah.]

[There are birds all around her and she is flailing like mad in the tree tops amidst the tree limbs, screaming blue murder the entire time.]

[If this was what Molly had in mind when she said 'doing something about that' then good job Tina.]

[Oh come on. That's totally gross- oh. Oh right. She makes a strangled sound when Tina flies up, staring in concern as she starts flailing. Molly positions herself somewhere in the general area under her just in case Tina drops.

And yeah, that's pretty much what she meant. Nice to know we can cross that off the list]
