Characters: Holly J, Open! Location: Basketball court Time: After classes - Monday Content: Well, Holly J wants to try shooting some hoops. School is for trying new things. Warnings: None current.
Ty Lee was on her way to the gym to practice there like a good student. She pouted a little as she walked, scuffing a foot along the ground. It really wasn't fair, threatening her with the principal's office just for exercising in a place that one of the teachers didn't approve of.
No, she had to cheer up! Her aura would get really dingy if she kept thinking like this. Doing a quick roundoff back handspring along the lawn, she felt a little bit better. Maybe Ms. Frost wouldn't yell at her for playing out on the grounds. It wasn't really that Ty Lee had any qualms about practicing in a gym. It was being told she couldn't do so anywhere else that intensified her urge to launch into acrobatics and handstands at any given moment. Ordinarily, it was just a minor whim, something that was fun. Being forbidden to indulge any of these whims was bothering her.
The girl headed out toward the lake, along the lawn next to the basketball court. Taking no notice of anyone who might be on the court, Ty Lee performed a little improvised snatch of a potential new floor routine along the grass, grinning. That could be good, if she came up with a few more ideas.
Holly J was practicing dunking, which was a little easier than trying to aim half court and full court shots. She kept overshooting the basket. Her first few dunks were pretty well perfect. Catching the rim each time.
Her last one... she jumped a little higher, and landed on the top of the backboard. Never done that before. She stood up there a few moments before hopping down. Casually sinking the ball on her way back to the asphalt. That was when her eye was caught by a girl doing a pretty impressive gymnastics routine. "Hey, how long have you been doing that?" That sort of talent, perfect for cheerleading. Holly J causally caught the ball as it bounced up from sinking it, smiling to the other girl.
