(no subject)
I know I am breaking my promise to myself, but I am going to post this pretty much everywhere I can think of in hopes that someone will want to help out.
I need a car.
And a driver.
And someone who can give me four or five days of their time.
Inspired by the latest post in LJ community rural_ruin (the one about Austin, Nevada) and the fact that this has been a dream of mine for quite some time, I want to take a road trip. For four days, I want to head EAST through Nevada instead of WEST to California. I was thinking about heading south as well, through Alkali, where you can sit in stone pools that used to belong to a hot springs resort which is now abandoned. But that may have to wait for another day. I want to take both my film camera and my digital camera and take pictures of all interesting and/or abandoned buildings that I see. I need a driver, but most of all a travel companion because these things are always better shared.
I don't know when this will happen, when I'll have the time. But I guess I'm just wondering if this would be anybody else's idea of a good time, if anyone would want to do this with me. I, of course, will pay for all gas expenses and possibly accomodations wherever. Seriously, let me know if you're interested or if I'm just nuts.
