Impending updates to class lists
This has been a long time in the making. With classes temporarily cancelled and apps right around the corner, we've been taking a look at the way classes and their students are currently listed on the wiki. We're doing away with that; from now on, they will be listed here, with each class having its own separate entry to contain information about how the class is run, who is taking the class, &c.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU: Right now, the classes on that list are currently all of the classes XI offers. Many of the smaller-sized teacherless classes have been either scrapped or merged with other classes, to cut down on the number of random... stuff. We love random stuff, but too much just gives everyone a headache.
WHAT WE NEED: If you are playing a teacher whose class is not on that list, or whose class is mistakenly listed as having no teacher, comment here and let us know! Or if, bizarrely, you are playing a teacher who is somehow listed as teaching a class they actually don't. AND, if you are playing a teacher, we would love to have you write up a short blurb about the class for us to post on its individual post once those are ready. For an example of what we're looking for, here is Squeak's loving description of Flight class as taught by Power Girl:
As the name suggests, a class for students whose powers allow them to fly, whether via wings, telekinesis, or good old inadequately explained superhero flight. Ms. Starr usually puts the students through their paces using what some consider to be fun activities and games, but the class is notorious for the amount of property damage it causes.
FINALLY: From now on, if you are apping a teacher character, we would appreciate it if you chose to have them teach a class that is on the "Classes Without Teachers" list. If you make up a random class that isn't listed there, it won't be an automatic rejection; but we really do want to have fewer NPC-taught classes.
This is Phase One of our class list reorganization. Phase Two will come shortly.
