[Leaves the library because he's ALWAYS IN THE LIBRARY and goes there.]

[Aaand waits.]

[Wheels himself in. Little brother looks upset. He's going to go right over and demand a hug.]

[Stands up and moves over to Al, looking down at him in confusion. But, he lets him hug.]

Did something happen?

Ms. Gordon had to go back home... and weird stuff has been happening around the school... and I... I was afraid you might not come back...

Is... Is Winry okay...?

[tsukiyabure]

Ah... [Frowns a little.]

Yeah, Winry's fine. She's resting. But you're okay, right? What do you mean by "weird stuff"?

[tsukisusume]

[And it visibly looks like a weights been lifted off his shoulders.] Good. That's good. [No, he is not getting teary eyed.] How long was she gone...? Matt and Al were away for a year, even though it was only a few days here...

Well, when people walked, they didn't make any footsteps... You couldn't hear them. And today, I went outside earlier and all the animals are just gone. There's nothing, not even birds. Some of the animals around here have been acting up.

... O-oh, before I forget! Matt was talking about throwing a party for all the people who were gone and missed their birthdays. I told him I'd help and I asked if you could be included because we missed yours even though you weren't one of the people missing... You'll come, right? It's tomorrow night. He said it was okay.

A year.

[Quiet for a moment as he thinks about all that.]

[And then smiles.] Sure. That sounds fun.

[Poor Winry... Was she on her own for all that time...? He knew he'd be really lonely... He'd already been lonely with both of them gone so he only probably had a small glimpse of what it might have been like for her...]

I'm really glad you're back and okay, Brother. [Softly.]

Me too. Sorry I made you worry.

It's okay. You had to go get Winry and I'm glad you did.
