[There is a man sitting at a desk in one of the dorm rooms. A very, very familiar man, with long black hair, wearing a slightly battered suit that they may recognize as being borrowed from the school drama club's costume department.]
Ladies and gentlemen of the Xavier Institute.
Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.
Therefore, in the upcoming election for student council president, I'd like you all to keep a few things in mind.
Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction.
Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth.
A man may die, nations may rise and fall, but an idea lives on.
A nation which has forgotten the quality of courage which in the past has been brought to public life is not as likely to insist upon or regard that quality in its chosen leaders today - and in fact we have forgotten.
And last but certainly not least... [He picks up a piece of paper and reads off of it.]
Vote for Maya Fey for Student Council President.
Thank you.
[Camera clicks off.]
