So, a whole bunch of winter holidays are coming up, yeah? So, what do you celebrate? What do you usually do on Christmas or Hanukkah or whatever? Do any of you not celebrate anything? I, uh. I'm asking because when I was a kid we didn't really ever do the whole holiday thing.

Eh, if we're talking about the Japanese spin on things, we don't technically celebrate the same kind of holidays like the folks in the US do.

Yeah, we have Christmas and all, but that's more of a "stuff your face with fried chicken and cake and make goo-goo eyes at your girlfriend" sort of event than anything holy or relevant. Probably taken more seriously here than back home, anyway. In any case, don't really find the use in going back for it for the break.

Well...when it comes down to it, yeah. There's supposed to be some huge family values thing wrapped up in there too, but I think more people focus on getting free stuff than actual bonding time. Either way, I think my Ma's drinking her ass off for it, so I'd rather be here than deal with that.
