So I was listening to the radio and I have to ask you all. Is this Dovey Bundles singer really popular? Usually I think all music has a message and is important, but that's absolute rubbish.

How is this song "Lightningbugs" even charting? It's the same midi loop over and over again in Fruity Loops.

I think it's a nice song.

Really? It is really just...I hate to say, but bad. Everything that's wrong with pop.

Ever hear of the fact that music is subjective kiddo?

Just because you don't like it, it doesn't mean other people can't.

[There's a subtle "Don't pick on Miku" vibe going on here too but it's easy to miss.]

Let me guess, you're one of those hard core "Pop isn't music" types or something aren't you?

Music is subjective, yes, but you can't throw value judgments away, I think.

[Doesn't really get the problem, as is a part of a band that is extremely vocal in it's trashing of pop musicians.]

No, actually. Our last two albums have definitely been pop. But pop doesn't mean throwing away artistry for safeness and being catchy.

Not everyone has the same value you do. You just have to learn to accept that and move on when it turns out your opinion isn't a popular one.

[Yeah, this should be fun considering who Meiko is.]

It's some little girl making cute music because she likes it. Save the meta for the deep meaningful stuff you probably adore or something.

[There's a pause, but yes Meiko is going to go there.]

Professionally jealous about how much plays she's getting?

I'll stand by my opinion.

You're saying she's little, so she can't be criticized? Excuse my saying so, but I think that's not right or fair. She's in the industry, so she knows what she's in for.

Actually, no. Sad for the music industry though.

Never said you had to change it.

No, I'm saying that she's still growing as who she is as a performer. I wasn't exactly at my best when I first hit the music scene either after all.

You hard core types are always so disparaging and stuff. You really should learn to relax a little or something. Being so sad, depressed, or mad over the state of the music industry can't be healthy you know.
