the first step is always the hardest one.

[this post starts out as a video post, giving you a quick glimpse of a girl guy with long blue hair, before Alto decides to switch it to a voice post instead.]

...uhm. [awkwardawkwardawkward]

Alto Saotome, and I'm new.

'Hello, and welcome' is about all I can say for the time being.

As far as the whole being 'new' part? It's not a permanent thing - you'll get used to how things are done around here.

Will I go back to being normal?

How would you personally describe "normal"? Because as far as I know, everyone here is anything but.

... to not be a mutant.

Well, if you mean it that way... well, no. You can't, because you were born that way.

Why, is it hard for you to come to terms with being a mutant?

[sighs... knew it]

Guess you can call it a bit of a work-in-progress.

I guess it depends on what you have as an ability, and when it manifested. For me, I've always known I wasn't normal because of my looks, so it was easier for me to get used to it.

It'll take time to let it sink it. If you want to talk to someone about it, the school has several counselors you can talk to.

I don't need a counsellor.

It was just a suggestion, and I did say 'if'.

Thanks for the suggestion then, but I really don't need one.

Look, you shouldn't be defensive or anything. You're among others that have various different abilities, and there are many that still feel a little out of sorts because they possess them.

But if you feel that you don't need one, then all the better. Means that you can hold your own ground when dealing with simply being a mutant.

I haven't gotten your name yet.

Sorry about that, where were my manners?

My name is Prince. Prince Feng. Pleasure to make your acquaintance, even if it's just through writing like this.

Right, and I'm "Princess". [strikes so gone]

Erm. That's your real name?

Text bl00d_elf March 5 2010, 01:03:55 UTC
Yeah, I'm getting a lot of that out of everyone here. Is it so wrong to have "Prince" as a name? It's not my fault my parents named me like that.

But yes, it is my real name.

No, nothing wrong with that. Sorry, that was rude of me.
