I get that the Canadian candies aren't available here. It's logical. Sad, but logical. It's also a loss and I will miss Smarties and Coffee Crisps.

Moment of silence for the loss of Coffee Crisps. [He actually mockingly pauses. Not for long.]

But where the Hell are the Kinder Surprise? They're European. How can anyone not think a chocolate egg ( Read more... )

They don't have Kinder eggs here?

[Pause, and then;] They haven't got smarties here either?

Apparently they do have Smarties in specialized import stores? But no Kinder Suprise ever. This is so disappointing.

That's fucking wank. I mean, like. How can you not love those eggs. Putting together those stupid little cars is like a fucking... childhood staple or something.

I agree so hard.

I'm gonna be starting a Kinder egg market and bring some back when I run to Montréal. Do you want me to bring some back for you?

Yeah, you'd have to pay for them.

No Kinder eggs? Really?

Made a limited research and it's illegal to sell them in USA. And the online stores that sell them won't ship them here, either.

I would've put some in my luggage If I'd have known.

I'm totally getting some in Montréal next time I run there and starting a market of Kinder Surprise.

[so very confused]

What in the world are Smarties?

quebec_fairy January 24 2010, 01:52:51 UTC
They're little round chocolates wrapped coated in coloured sugar. A bit like M&M's but way better.

Wait a sec --

[have text, suddenly!]

You're supposed to keep the red ones last.

So they're basically pastel colored M&Ms.

An' why do ya gotta eat the red ones last?

quebec_fairy January 24 2010, 02:08:19 UTC
Nah, it's not just about the colour. They're better. I'll get some, you'll have to compare.

And it was the company's -- criss, what's the word -- [paaause] Slogan like in French? Ah, whatever. Let's just say TV ads said so a decade back. They changed their slogan since, though.

Kinder eggs own.

quebec_fairy January 24 2010, 02:05:39 UTC
They do.

I haven't had one in at least a year but now that I know there aren't any I'm missing them.

Nothing better than acting like four-year-old.

leadsepperin January 24 2010, 02:20:04 UTC
Why do you have to be four? Kinder eggs are for everyone!

I was referencing to the fact I suddenly only want some because I can't.

We have Smarties, if you mean the little candy discs that come in round packages and look like powder if y'crush 'em.

What're Kinder Eggs?

quebec_fairy January 24 2010, 02:23:32 UTC
Err. No. That doesn't sound like Smarties.

And pretty much what I just said. Chocolate eggs with toys inside.

pickinurpockets January 24 2010, 02:25:00 UTC
Well, that's what they are here.

...Why don't we have those? It'd probably save so many relationships...

You don't just have no Smarties. You have fake powdery Smarties.

[Have a pause and JP wondering what the hell does that even mean.] I'd love to agree but this makes no sense at all from my point of view.

Would girls stay with jerky boyfriends if the jerky boyfriend gives them a Kinder egg?
