SO MANY QUESTIONS

Can somebody please explain to me about what is going on? I am not sure I understand. Some people want to keep a list of who we are? Why? Is that bad?

It's bad because it criminalizes us and puts us and everyone we know in danger just because we were lucky enough to be born with an X-Gene.

It is a list of criminals?

The idea is to keep a list of mutants in case our powers ever go out of whack or we use them and people get hurt in the process, so we'd be held accountable. Sounds all nice in theory, right?

Thing is, you don't register people based on what's in their double helix. You register criminals-- sex offenders, murderers and the like. Whether they know it or not, asking us to register is putting us on their level. It tells people we're a continued threat so long as we exist. That we're something to be hated and feared when most of us just want to get on with our lives.

But Temeraire said it could also be a list so that we can help people... that is good, right?

It could be, but the anti-mutant sentiment runs to deep for it.
