Hello, everyone. I apologize for my extended absence from the school. There was a...medical emergency. [looks slightly uncomfortable and declines to elaborate; besides, anyone who needed to know already knows] Said medical emergency has made typing more difficult than is reasonable, so I will be using audio and video recordings to communicate via the network until the issue has rectified itself.
[clears his throat uncomfortably; occasionally you will see one of his hands creep into the video frame, and they are in post-op gloves]
So, um, I must assume that a fair amount has gone on in my absence. I would appreciate it if anyone could inform me of the recent events and goings-on to which I have not been able to be privy. I have heard...some... [awkward pause, and he scrunches his face for a second in thought] ...rumors about some new instructors. Namely, that another one of my former colleagues has joined the staff here at the school. Personally, I'm a little perplexed I mean her work is so important, why would she leave?, so confirmation of this as fact or fallacy would be appreciated.
-- Oh! Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about the proposal for a science fair. Unfortunately, the injury occurred shortly after I had made the proposal. Is anyone still interested in participating in a science fair here?
