heron61 pointed out an interesting poll done by Time called Now that Walter Cronkite has passed on, who is America's most trusted newscaster?. I find the fact that Jon Stewart won a landslide to be the most trusted newscaster in America to be many things--funny, ironic, sad, and yet heartening. It's funny because he is adamant about his show "not being a news show," it's ironic because he is a Comedian by nature, it's sad that the most honest person we have behind a news desk is a Trickster, and it's heartening that I'm not alone in my feelings toward most all news outlets.

However you interpret it, there's little denying that Jon Stewart is indeed a Trickster of epic proportions. And for that alone, I love him. Fuck the news propaganda machine.
