I've not paid much attention to the whole 2012 predictions, mainly because I think that trying to pin Prophecies on a particular date in linear time is about the stupidest thing you can do as a human (short of actually beLIEving in such prophecies). Few endeavors have such a low probability rate of actually being correct (the Y2K predictions being the most recent of a very, very long list of such failures).
So it is with some interest that I came across
lupabitch's
review of "Beyond 2012" by James Endredy, which seems to be more about focusing on the Changes that may be hinted at in the prophecy, rather than the predominant human tendency to overdramatize catastrophes such as the Mayan's predicted for 2012. Not sure I'll read it, but Lupa's suggestion it might be useful for therapy increases its purchasing chances for me.
