Technomancy & Alternate Personal Timelines, a Multiverse Model

Once again, playing video games has inspired me. As I sat here playing an RPG* (FFXII for the PS2), I got to thinking about how many "games" there are within this single MetaGame of FFXII. E.g., there are strategies on a variety of aspects of the game, including "how to improve each character", which affects party balance, etc. I was just thinking about how I can Play with my Characters' "Life Paths". A habit I've developed (much to the chagrin of my roommate, Satan) is that I will often save at pivotal points in my characters' Story Lines. I will sometimes try out a few different directions and saving them to different files before finally deciding on (permanently) saving a file later on. Thus, often only after I've "test ridden" a few different "Life Story Paths" have I "made the Changes permanent".

I can Magickally manipulate what could best be described as "Probability Streams", and I'm no stranger to Chronomancy (Hail Fotamecus!). One of the last things that I ever heard from Marik on Zeelist was re: his work with the Magickal Metaverse Model, and Magickally "choosing" the Multiverse that we wish to Experience in our personal NowHere Personal Timeline, which I've had trouble making complete sense of. Science--particularly the uber-esoteric side of it--has long escaped my tight grasp.

I can't put my finger on it just now, but I feel that I'm on the verge of an epiphany re: tying all of this together, and saving the FFXII game to different files was the catalyst that sparked this...

* Role Playing Games have long inspired me in countless ways, both Magickally and Spiritually (to the point that many people know me best as the author of RPG Magick 101). In many ways, I view "Real Life(TM)" as an RPG with its own set of Game Rules. I particularly love getting into my many different Roles. I'm finding even more interesting things in the video game version of the RPG genre.
