Video Game Vampirism

I've really enjoyed playing the "Lord of the Rings: The Third Age" for PS2. There is one character that I have a special affinity for--"Éaoden"--who has this most useful ability to suck the life from his opponents. I've got this ability so tweaked that this character has become a close 2nd in the party for strictly dealing damage, which makes him a party favorite.

I've been physically sick over the past week, it occurred to me last night that since this is a role-playing game, and I (the player) actually do need Health, I should try to set up a more consciously driven channel via Éaoden to recover both his HP and mine. I Visualized and "formed" a Channel not unlike a tunnel that seemed to translate the much less dense "digital" HP into much denser "organic" HP for my physical body. After my brother reminded me to "not kill or otherwise negatively affect the TV or PS2" (which I could have easily overlooked ;-), I also tried to make sure the Entity being drained was only including the actual bad-guy on the screen, and not the TellaVision, the PS2, or anything else.

Now when I drain the Health from a digital bad-guy in the video game, I have been working on channeling that "Health Information" into my own physical body. I only had a little while to implement it last night, but I know my brother and I will be playing this game more tomorrow, when I will have amply more opportunity to Practice my Video-Game Vampiric Skills. [Edit: I've decided to try this with FFX's character Kimahri and his ability to steal both HP and MP called "Lancet" tonight whilst Satan is at work. Satan and I shall play our 2P LOTR game tomorrow.]

Have you done any Video Game Magick like this?

cybermagick, energywork, media, healing, tellavision, vampirisim, pop magick, nrg
