This has occurred to me before, but I wanted to Earth it before it slipped from my Awareness again:
When we are feeling Miserable, Exhausted, Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired, Frustrated, Furious (etc.), we make poorer Decisions* than when we are feeling Contented, Peaceful, Happy, Joyful, Fulfilled (etc.). It's interesting but hardly surprising that when in the throes of the former, I tend to do more self-sabotaging, personally destructive acts which Hurt myself in various ways, than when I'm feeling great. When I'm feeling more positive, I genuinely feel enCouraged to perform more Life-Affirming activities, e.g., Taijijuan, Exercise, Eating better, etc. As I've said before:
"'Misery loves company', but so does Joy."
* For example, I'm sure that I forgot the suitcase of condoms en route to my Haitian Brothel Tour all those years ago because I was in a rather Angry space in my Life. The self-sabotaging elements of that particular phase of my Life via my actions should be apparent.
