Scene Eight.

- Allison and Traci are sitting at a picnic table in the park eating lunch. Traci looks very serious as she eats; she's really tired. Allison looks tired as well, and she looks uncomfortable with the silence. -

Allison: Maybe we should hire someone else to help us out? - Traci drops fork or whatever she's holding, obviously frustrated. - I mean...trios have worked before, right? Like...the Three Musketeers, the Three Amigos, the Three Blind Mice...

Traci: But partnerships have worked to, ya know. Bill and Tedd, Spike and Jett, Han and Chewy.

Allison: I'm Han, right?

Traci: No, Chewy.

Allison: -lips- Dammit.

Traci: But you're missing the point here, Allison. The point is, two works just as good as three.

Allison: Then why do we have our work cut out for us?

Traci: Because...- pauses, trying to think of something - ...because we aren't...energized enough.

Allison: What do you mean?

Traci: We haven't trained enough. If we work harder, we can defeat all of the demons!

Allison: But I don't think it's our training that is at fault! I thinks it's just pure numbers. Demons are popping up everywhere; we need more people if we are going to catch 'em all. [Reference to Pokemon]

Traci: No we don't. We're fine the way we are.

Allison: But...

Traci: Allison, drop it!

Allison: Trac- - is looking off behind Traci; sees demons sneaking up behind her -

Traci: I said drop it, Allison. There's nothing more to discuss!

Allison: Bu- -is still trying to point out what's behind Traci -

Traci: That's it. You're doing all of the paperwork alone when we get back home.

Allison: - stands up fast - TRACI!

Traci: - snaps - What?!

Allison: BEHIND YOU!

Traci: - Turns, sees the demons - Shit. - Stands up fast beside Allison. Both start backing up. Hear something behind them, look and see more demons coming up behind them. - Double shit.

Allison: What do we do?! We're completely surrounded! - Traci is silent. - Traci?

Traci: I'm thinking! I'm thinking! - Both stand back to back; find a way to make the camera circle around them completely angling up to them. -

Allison: Say something!

Traci: Like what?

Allison: Anything! You're the boss!

Traci: - stands up straight, puffs out chest. - You can take our lives, but you can never take...OUR FREEDOM! - demons hesitate, confused, then keep coming -

Allison: That didn't work.

Traci: I'm all out of ideas...

Allison: We're doomed.

Traci: Yup. - Both are huddling up against each other, squinting their eyes shut as if waiting to get hit. As the camera stays on them while they brace themselves for attack, we hear the sounds of a fight going on [hits, punches, grunts, kicks, etc.] After a moment, Traci and Allison open their eyes one at a time to see why they haven't been killed yet. All of the demons are on the ground, not moving or groaning in pain. -

Allison: Whoa. Traci, you ARE good!

Traci: That wasn't me.

Allison: It wasn't? Then who was it?

Traci: - Nods towards a figure leaning up against a tree, acting cool. -

Allison: Double whoa. - Traci and Allison walk over to the stranger; Traci is trying to act cool while Allison is grinning and looking appreciative. -

Traci: Are you responsible for all of that? - nodding towards the demons on the ground -

Wolfen: That was me. - is looking at Allison as he answers -

Allison: - seems lost in his stare - You must be so strong! You defeated ALL of them!

Wolfen: It's all in a day's work. What's your name, beautiful?

Traci: - Allison is about to answer, but Traci interrupts - What's YOUR name, stranger?

Wolfen: - seems to finally take notice of Traci - I am Wolfen. Wolfen Sheepsclothing.

Traci: What kind of name is Wolfen?

Wolfen: You can ask my mom that question. Oh. Except she's dead.

Allison: Traci! Why do you always have to ruin a good conversation?! - turns to Wolfen - I'm so sorry about your loss. I'm Allison. This is Traci! We're demon hunters...like you!

Wolfen: You wouldn't say.

Allison: Oh yes I WOULD say! Thank you so much for saving us!

Traci: - mumbles - We didn't need saving.

Allison: We are very thankful! Aren't we, Traci? - nudges her -

Traci: Hm? Oh yes. Thankful. Hey Allison, you ready to get back to work?

Allison: Awww, is our break over already? - Traci nods as she grabs Allison and starts pulling her away. - Thank you so much, Wolfen! - Both walking away -

Wolfen: You two need any help? - Traci and Allison turn and at the same time say:

Traci: No.

Allison: Yes! - Traci glares at Allison. -

Wolfen: Sounds great. - Walks up to join them - But only if Traci doesn't mind. - There is an obvious show of dominance going on between both of them. -

Traci: - seems really grouchy and glares off in a different direction. Then turns and smiles. - Not at all! Why would I mind?

Wolfen: Cool. - Walks off beside Allison; Traci glares in the background -

- The song "Everyday I Love You Less and Less" starts playing. Traci is the singer; she is seen walking behind/beside Allison and Adam as if singing to them but they can't hear her. They are talking and laughing and 'getting to know each other'. By the end of the song, they are at the base. We see Allison hand Adam her phone number and Traci in the background scowling as she waits for her -

End Scene.
