Yeah.

Life has its way of sucking.

Good friends? Of course. I'll always be the close friend or 'sister' type to the guys. That's okay in some respects, but when you really want someone to like you more than that, it really really sucks.

Sixteen does seem a little young when you're about to turn nineteen though. I know that sounds funny, but it's true. He'd be jail bait until his birthday in August. Not to mention, that much of a difference in ages...when dealing with the high school and college difference doesn't feel right. That's about the only thing that didn't feel right about my little crush. Little Drew, still a Junior crushing on Junior girls with his Junior friends. It's understandable. A freshman in college may seem to be pushing it. And think about all of the things you would have to hit with that: Prom? Hell no I'm not doing that again. All of his sports games he goes to? Wouldn't I feel a little out of place?

It's probably best to wait anyway. Try out other meat, maybe more around your age. Then maybe when he grows up a little bit, and if he's dated the other youngens and gone through high school more, he might see you differently. Just stay friends. Keep your head up. There's always other fish in the sea.

Even if it's not the fish you want.
