Purple

Okay! Time for another poem. This was also a class project. We had to do a poem about any color we wanted and use all these metaphors and stuff. I really liked how it turned out even though it's a bit weird...^^" *scratches back of head*

Douzo!~

Purple

Purple is an orchid blooming;
the beginning of a new day.
Purple is what you’ll see when you look in the mirror.
Purple is a plum. It’s a grape
and the raisin that comes right after.
Purple is the color of my favorite marshmallow in the Lucky Charms box.
Purple is the Easter Bunny hopping across the lawn after hiding eggs.
Purple are my childhood friends: Barney and Tinky Winky the Teletubbie.
Purple are the people that Horrible Harry saw
and the crayon that Harold used to create his own story.
Purple is the unwanted popsicle in the box, a last resort for the starving.
Purple is the misunderstood medicine flavor that little kids scowl at.
Purple is the play and the book that touched people’s hearts.
Purple is the ugly bruise that shows its angry mark for all to see,
except for the one in your heart.
You have to bear with that one alone.
Purple is the last drop of poison that Juliet drank before her world faded to an ending of a tragic story.
Purple is a depressing love song.
Purple are the clouds that fill your imaginary world where purple dragons eat grape flavored lollipops
and soar through “ultra-violet” mountains.
Purple is the royal attire that floods the castle with power.
Purple is the magic that awakens you from your fantasy and dreams, bringing forth a sense of reality.
Purple is the color of the drops of passion, poured into the wine that will bond two people together forever.
Purple is daybreak, a drastic mix of red and blue, contrasting in the most perfect way possible.
Purple is the hand-knit blanket that keeps me warm at night, a shelter protecting me from bad dreams.
Purple is the scented candle-lilac, hyacinths, and lavender-that puts me to my slumber.
Purple is an orchid blooming;
the beginning of a new day.
Purple is what I see when I look in the mirror.
Purple
Is
Me.

A/N: Yeahh...so the ending was kinda weird but I liked it^^ The original was a bit different  but after class conferences my classmates and I thought I should make some changes. It turned out good!! ^^ Compliments and critisism are all welcome! And they help a lot!! Arigatou, ne~
