this is an al jazeera english report on the syrian revolution, about 45 minutes long. it includes graphic and disturbing content, but is well worth watching in my opinion. i looked on al jazeera english after hearing
this story on npr's soundcheck, about musician malik jendali who wrote a song called "watani ana (i am my homeland)". it's an absolutely beautiful piece, and they talked some about the situation in syria right now, but this piece from al jazeera goes into a lot more detail. in some places, more detail than i'm used to seeing in the news, because i've become used to the little soundbytes you get on cnn.
other than that, my day's been looking for jobs, applying for jobs, talked to my sister, tried making bread, and played around on the internet. not too bad. hope you all had a good leap day earlier this week, and that you're voting for my former softball teammate evp on american idol.
