Tanking without food... (again)

Last night after a rather un-natural nap starting at 4pm lasting til 8pm, during that time I had my headphones on and Kairo had been spamming me with /tell's, this would explain the tell's in my dreams. So after waking up finally I received a tell from another Japanese BST. Considering that I was down the coast on my Macbook I really didn't want to play a tank job (the keyboard really erks me), but since I'd been playing with a USB->Dual Shock 2, I decided to force myself to be able to play a tank job on controller.

To my surprise it wasn't actually that hard. One thing I love about controllers is the ability to scroll through the alliance members by using the Up-Down D-Pad directions. This is badly needed for Keyboard users.

So back to tanking. Initial thoughts, oh gods... PLD74 and Greater Colibri, but it really wasn't that bad, actually I would say PLD or nothing at all for tanking Greater Colibri. I was taking next to no damage, well maybe a little bit more than no damage. I have to say having a SCH in party AoE Phalanx was great as well. We had a RDM for about 3 minutes before he DC'd and we grabbed a bard. 20k exp later and I'm a little bit dazed from having to try and force myself to use the controller, but happy at my efforts. Kept hate fine, everyone was happy, and I was now closer to PLD75.
