SINCE I NEVER WRITE LONG ENTRIES EVER, I ENCOURAGE ALL OF YOU TO READ THIS ONE JUST BECAUSE
all i have to say about camp is that it was the most amazing experience ever. i honestly and sincerely have the desire to live for god and god only. i cant even begin to describe how im feeling. anyways, heres some random stuff i wrote in my notebook
we cannot learn from jesus unless we are prepared to walk his path
so pretty much, you have to carry your cross and be WILLING. one thing i think rob or kyle or somebody said is that its pretty much impossible be popular and be a christian. its impossible to live for jesus and spread the word if you are so caught up in your ego and what others think of you. you are going to be judged no matter what you do. but in the end, does it really and truly matter what other people thought or said. i dont know, i cant even explain this in a good way without sounding lame or cliche but i felt like i should share it.
honoring god means understanding that i am in the presence of him always.
in other words, when you are about to do something that doesnt glorify god just imagine jesus sitting there next to you. like have sex or something with some guy that doesnt even matter in the first place, just know jesus is right there with you waiting for you to ask him for the strength and guidance.
your sins will find you out
your actions have consequences. the end.
when my father and mother forsake me, the lord will receive me. -psalm 27:10
i really love that because its just saying that if someone wrongs you or hurts you, just know that god is there. he can provide complete healing.
do not love the world. the promises of the world are empty. you cant take it with you.
IT DOESNT LAST.
as a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his folly. -proverbs 26:11
so when you do something that you know is wrong, yet you do it over and over, its like a dog eating its vomit. sick.
ALL sin is significant
something i struggle with a lot is stretching the truth. like telling just SOME of the truth or making someone believe something different without actually saying it straight out. im pretty sure that made about no sense, but just know that no sin is greater than another in the eyes of god. another thing i have is compare yourself to god's standards. i keep trying to explain that in different terms and make sense, but its not working so just dont try and lessen your sin by comparing it to someone elses.

"ive never heard anything with a greater message of hope. God, has a plan for everyones life, if we would just let it be done. he knows every step he would have us take. and he will see it through to completion."

just because i said all those things, doesnt mean im not going to make mistakes so dont expect me to be the impossible and dont judge me when im not. another thing, i dont have all the answers, so if you feel the need to challenge me in what i believe, just dont.
